Summary of the story
As a kid, I always looked up to Superman. I grew up watching cartoons, movies, and collecting toys, so seeing Superman (2025) really hit home for me. From start to finish, I couldn’t stop smiling. It felt like a heartwarming, emotional rollercoaster that brought back everything I loved about the character. The cast did a great job. David Corenswet truly embodies Superman. He’s charming, dignified, and full of heart. Everything about him just feels right, and I can honestly say he’s my Superman now. Rachel Brosnahan, who plays Lois Lane, delivers her lines with passion and presence. She brings strength, intelligence, and warmth to the role and feels like the perfect Lois for this generation. Their chemistry is natural and adds so much to the heart of the film. Nicholas Hoult is incredible as Lex Luthor. He did a great job delivering every line with intensity and purpose. He felt like a true villain, cold and calculating. He fully entered the role and showed such hatred for Superman that it gave the whole conflict real weight. He felt like a powerful threat throughout, one of the best Lex Luthors we’ve seen on screen. I’ve seen a lot of people worry that the movie would feel too full of characters and scenes, but I personally didn’t feel that way at all. I really enjoyed how the Justice Gang was introduced and handled. Their presence added excitement and gave the world a deeper dimension without detracting from Superman. A lot of the criticism online seemed to come from people who were still attached to the Zack Snyder universe, or from the tendency to make characters like Superman dark or evil. But this movie turned things around. It gave us a Superman who felt like the real deal again, hopeful, inspiring and human at his core. Some parts might be a little hard to follow if you’re not familiar with the character, but that didn’t spoil anything for me. I watched it with my girlfriend and explained some of the plot as we went along, and she loved it. Overall, Superman (2025) is a heartfelt tribute to Superman’s legacy and a bold new chapter. It’s packed with emotion, great acting, and a clear love for the source material. If you’re a true fan, this movie will remind you why you fell in love with the character in the first place.
